Noerr advises Schwarz Group companies on strategic partnership with Google
A Noerr team led by Patrick Neidinger and Thomas Thalhofer has advised the companies of the Schwarz Group on their agreement to form a long-term partnership with Google. This strategic partnership will cover key aspects of a secure and sovereign digital transformation, including collaboration and efficiency solutions as well as advanced cybersecurity offerings in Germany and Europe.
As part of the partnership, STACKIT, Schwarz Digits’ cloud unit, will provide local data storage for Google Workspace and offer client-side encryption. This will create a secure and sovereign solution for efficiency in the workplace with XM Cyber as an integrated security solution. In addition, XM Cyber’s Continuous Exposure Management service will be integrated into Google Cloud’s security portfolio to create a new joint solution for public and private sector organisations. Finally, the Schwarz Group companies with 575,000 employees will migrate to Google Workspace to maximise the security, efficiency and control of their digital sovereignty.
The Noerr team advised the Schwarz Group companies on the drafting and negotiation of the complex underlying contracts.
