Noerr advises Schwarz Group companies on the acquisition of large-scale bakery ARTiBack
A Noerr team led by Susanne Rummel and Gerald Reger has advised Schwarz Group companies on the acquisition of large-scale bakery ARTiBack GmbH. The buyer is a Schwarz Produktion company.
The large-scale bakery, based in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, complements Schwarz Produktion’s existing baked goods production and will help to meet the high demand from customers of Schwarz Group’s retail companies (Lidl & Kaufland) for fresh, varied and high-quality baked goods. Founded in 2016, ARTiBack GmbH has been producing freshly baked speciality breads and rolls from natural raw materials for food retailers and other stores since 2018.
Closing of the transaction is subject to clearance by the relevant competition authorities and is planned for the first quarter of 2024.
Schwarz Produktion is the umbrella brand of Schwarz Group’s production companies. In total, around 5,500 employees at the Schwarz Produktion companies across Germany produce high-quality food and sustainable packaging and materials for the retail companies Lidl and Kaufland.
