Noerr advises FSN Capital on the acquisition of a majority stake in Epista Life Science Group

Noerr has advised leading Scandinavian private equity investor FSN Capital on the acquisition of a majority stake in Epista Life Science Group. Led by our Berlin partner Katrin Andrä and senior associate Alison Heinze, the Noerr team advised on the transaction, which was completed at the end of May, together with a team from the Danish partner law firm Plesner.

Epista Life Science helps leading international pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device companies define and implement digital IT strategies by facilitating technology adoption while ensuring continuous regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA and others) throughout the value chain. With a competent management team, a clearly defined business strategy and a value-based approach, Epista Life Science has managed to achieve significant growth of more than 30% per year since its inception, with revenues of DKK 119 million in 2021 and over 100 employees. Epista Life Science has sites in Denmark, Germany and Sweden.

Epista Life Science was founded in 2009 by Klavs Esbjerg, who will reinvest in the company and continue to lead it as CEO. With the recent acquisition of the Swedish companies Bruun and Maté and with a strong M&A and organic growth pipeline, Epista Life Science is expected to continue its rapid growth and become a global force.
