Angelika Schmid is a member of Noerr’s Employment & Pensions and Tax practice groups in our Munich office. She is qualified in German and Czech law and helped establish our office in Prague from 1994. Angelika’s main practice areas since 2002 include cross-border employment relationships, international secondments and related employment, social security as well as tax, residence and work permit law. As a result of her day-do-day client work for a large number of international companies and institutions, she has profound specialist knowledge, direct contact with authorities and continuously up-to-date experience in the practical handling of foreign postings. Another of Angelika’s specialisations are compliance issues with regard to social security and illegal employments matters. Angelika regularly holds lectures and client seminars on subjects around international secondments and cross-border payroll issues and actively liaises with specialised institutions in this area. She also publishes manuals and other guidelines on these topics.
