The weekly business magazine Wirtschaftswoche has once again named Peter Bräutigam a “Legal All Star” in IT law. Repeating last year’s performance, our Munich-based partner was chosen over the other nominees in a two-stage selection process to claim first place. Christian Pelz was also honoured, winning third place in the Compliance category.

Peter has been with Noerr since 1994. He is also an honorary professor lecturing in Media and Internet Law at the University of Passau. His broad spectrum of advising includes IT and digitalisation / Industry 4.0 with the following specialisations: IT outsourcing / BPO agreements, project agreements (including agile software programming), service level agreements, data protection, rights to data, cyber security, liability issues and software licensing law. For years, the legal publisher JUVE has consistently named Peter one of its “often recommended” lawyers in the IT categories contracts/processes and transactions/outsourcing.

Christian has worked with Noerr since 1997. An honorary professor at the University of Augsburg, he lectures in criminal law. Christian represents German and international companies, managing and supervisory boards and their members in criminal investigation proceedings or proceedings involving administrative fines in all areas of white-collar crime law and criminal tax law. Another emphasis of his advisory work is money laundering, compliance and internal investigations. In the category white-collar crime law and criminal tax law, JUVE lists him as an “often recommended” lawyer.

Wirtschaftswoche worked with the Handelsblatt Research Institute to evaluate 25 legal practice areas to find its “Legal All Stars”. First, they sent out almost 23,000 questionnaires in which 5,000 business lawyers at 115 respected law firms were asked to name their most renowned competitor in their practice area. Then, a jury consisting of corporate counsel, professors, litigation funders and advisors deliberated on the list.
