Noerr advises Synergy Group on acquisition of Runtime
A team of Noerr led by partners Michael Brellochs, Alexander Hirsch and Christoph Spiering has advised the French Synergie Group on the acquisition of the Runtime Group, based in Germany, from the family-owned and Bremen based Topp Holdings.
Synergie is an international, listed French group providing corporate clients and institutions with global human resources management and development services such as recruitment, temporary employment, training and consultancy. At a time of demographic change and increasing labour shortage, it is thereby operating in a currently dynamic market. The group employs more than 5,000 staff throughout France and in 17 countries abroad and has generated around €3 billion turnover in 2022. The acquisition will enable Synergie to increase its activities on Europe’s second-largest market. Since 2011, the group has primarily covered southern Germany via its German subsidiary Synergie Personal Deutschland, based in Karlsruhe. By acquiring Runtime’s 31 branches in northern and central Germany, Synergie will be able to offer its temporary employment and commercial temporary agency work services throughout the whole of Germany in the future. Once Runtime has been integrated into the group, Synergie Deutschland will operate almost 65 branches across Germany.
The transaction is still subject to approval by the competition authorities.
