Noerr expands market presence with new Data, Tech & Telecom practice group
Noerr is reorganising its regulatory digital and technology advice by merging its market-leading data privacy and telecommunications practices. The new Data, Tech & Telecom practice group will allow Noerr to offer its clients an integrated range of advisory services that are even better tailored to the tech industry and that also pool the firm’s regulatory expertise more clearly in its market profile.
The new practice will be led jointly by the partners Tobias Frevert (Berlin) and Daniel Rücker (Munich). Over 25 lawyers will work for the new practice group, many of them among the leading practitioners in their field.
One major focus of the new practice group’s advisory services will be on large-scale regulatory projects and transactions, with its portfolio targeting in particular the growth areas of data privacy, data law, AI, telecommunications and digital platforms and encompassing the entire range of regulatory advice, including structuring business models, operational compliance, clarifying innovative legal issues at national or European level as well as projects and transactions.
“Today we already advise clients in depth on all regulatory issues connected with structuring business models and with transactions,” Tobias said. “The new profile addresses these issues in a way that is more suitable for the market since in projects, regulatory topics are rarely dealt with in isolation.”
“The regulatory framework often dominates the structuring of projects,” Daniel emphasised. “The aim is to put the focus more clearly on the regulatory options that determine the success of a business model.”
