Noerr Corporate/M&A partner Florian Becker moves to London as new office head
Effective on 1 July, as part of a generational change, Florian Becker (50) will be joining Noerr’s London team and taking over leadership of the office from Thomas Schulz (58).
Florian, a partner working out of Noerr’s Munich office, was co-head of the Corporate/M&A practice for seven years until the end of 2021 and is one of the firm’s most experienced transaction lawyers. In the last 20 years, he has advised on more than 100 successfully implemented M&A projects, primarily in international contexts.
“We are pleased that Florian has decided to move to London to promote the further development of our office and to strengthen our team there”, said Alexander Ritvay, Noerr’s co-managing partner. “Financial investors and strategists who pursue transactions with aspects related to Germany and Europe will profit from his many years of experience and his expertise in financial services, IT and restructuring.”
Noerr’s successful London team focuses primarily on complex international projects involving private equity, venture capital, M&A, restructuring, insolvency and regulated industries. Its clients include strategists and investors such as INEOS, Brookfield and US private equity companies.
Florian will be taking over leadership of the office from Thomas Schulz, who has led the team operating from the City since 2014 and will take on other tasks after a transitional period. Since the London office opened in 2010, especially its advising of financial investors and its contacts to best-friend law firms have made a significant contribution to further internationalising Noerr’s business.
Alexander Ritvay: “We are very grateful to Thomas for successfully further developing our London office. Thanks to his dedication and excellent work, today the office is an established address for advice on international transactions.”
