Noerr advises Walki Group on acquisition of folian GmbH

With a team headed by Moritz Nikolaus Koch and Volker Land, Noerr has advised the Finnish packaging producer Walki Group extensively on the acquisition of the German company folian GmbH headquartered in Stralsund. The closing of the transaction took place at the end of November 2022. Walki Group is a portfolio company of the private equity investor One Equity Partners.

The acquisition will support the continued growth of Walki’s flexible packaging business and strengthen the Group’s presence in the Central European market. folian GmbH, which has until now been an owner-managed company, specialises in high-quality printing and finishing of packaging films for the food industry.

Noerr acts regularly for Walki. Most recently it assisted Walki on the acquisition of the French Rollpack Group.
