Noerr advises Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd. on sale of Isolite Group

With a team led by Frankfurt-based partner Till Kosche, Duesseldorf-based associated partner Benedikt Vogt and senior associate Jana Baumann, Noerr has provided legal advice to the Japanese company Showa Denko Materials Co., Ltd. on the sale of its subsidiary ISOLITE Group in a complex auction process.

All shares in ISOLITE GmbH (“ISOLITE”) were sold to Munich-headquartered CERTINA Automotive Products AG and its affiliates (“CERTINA Group”).

Showa Denko Materials was founded in Japan in 1962 and has been part of Japanese chemicals group Showa Denko K.K., headquartered in Tokyo, since 2020. Showa Denko Materials has more than 16,000 employees and 71 subsidiaries in the electronic materials, printed circuit board materials, mobility, components, high-performance materials and life science businesses in Japan and internationally.

ISOLITE is a manufacturer of thermal insulation for automobiles, aircraft and other industrial applications and has been part of Showa Denko Materials since 2017.

Noerr advised Showa Denko Materials together with a team from the Japanese law firm Mori Hamada Motsumoto.
