Noerr advises Hedin Mobility Group on agreement with BYD on the sale and transfer of distribution activities in the German market

With a team led by Eckhart Schleifenbaum, Moritz Koch and Mansur Pour Rafsendjani, Noerr advised Swedish Hedin Mobility Group on the successful sale and transfer of the distribution activities of BYD vehicles and spare parts in the German market to BYD Automotive GmbH. As part of the transaction, Hedin Electric Mobility GmbH will be acquired by BYD. The transaction also includes the transfer of operations of two flagship stores in Stuttgart and Frankfurt, which are operated by the German retail division of the Hedin Mobility Group.

Hedin Automotive eMobility GmbH will remain authorised retailer of BYD in Germany with sales outlets in Mannheim, Kaiserslautern and Saarbrücken. Hedin Mobility Group will also continue to act as Dealer+ and retailer in the Swedish market as part of its long term partnership with BYD.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and closing is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2024.
