Noerr advises Mercedes-Benz on divestiture of its Russian business

With a team led by partners Martin Neuhaus, Björn Paulsen and Harald Selzner, Noerr has advised the Mercedes-Benz Group on the divestiture of its Russian business to Russian AVTODOM Group. The transaction was completed on 24 April 2023 following the granting of all regulatory approvals.

The Mercedes-Benz Group, through various group companies, until recently carried out vehicle sales, vehicle production and a financing and banking business in the territory of the Russian Federation. At the beginning of 2022, the Mercedes-Benz Group decided to divest its engagement in the Russian Federation. The sale was structured through a competitive bidding process involving a number of potential investors.
