Noerr is “Law Firm of the Year for Corporate Tax Law”. German legal publisher JUVE has now awarded the title to Noerr on the occasion of publication of the latest JUVE Tax Handbook 2024. Just last year, JUVE singled out Noerr for the award in the category “Law Firm of the Year for Transaction Tax”.

According to JUVE’s editorial team, the practice group headed by Georg Edelmann and Carsten Heinz has continually worked its way up to the top of the market over the years and works seamlessly with Noerr’s other practice groups. One example of this is the advice to Fresenius Medical Care on a change of the legal form. JUVE also emphasised the increasing integration and pooling of capacities within the Tax practice, “in order to provide clients from all backgrounds with tax advice from a single source.” It pointed out that this enables the Tax team to deliver input on corporate tax law topics from all disciplinary angles.

“The award and the jury’s reasoning once again emphasize our strong team spirit and the high level of cooperation with other practice groups in our firm,” said Georg Edelmann. “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire team, but above all to our clients for the trust they place in our advice” added Carsten Heinz.

The portfolio of Noerr’s Tax practice group ranges from tax advice on national and international M&A/private equity transactions and structuring of fund investments to tax advice for national and international company groups, digital transformation and crisis-related restructurings. The cornerstone of this is corporate tax law, which covers cross-border structurings, reorganisations, mergers, international tax planning, taxation of consolidated tax groups, Controlled foreign corporation (CFC) tax advice, investigations as well as judicial and out-of fiscal courts advice. Alongside this, the practice group advises high-net-worth private clients and family-owned businesses, in particular on business succession and international mobility.
