Noerr strengthens international trade law practice with addition of Tobias Zuber in Brussels
Noerr is bolstering its highly successful international trade law practice with the addition of Tobias Zuber, who will join the firm’s Brussels office as an associated partner starting 1 December 2024.
Tobias advises on European trade law with a focus on export control, sanctions and customs. Tobias practises in Brussels for almost a decade and gained extensive experience in complex transactions, designing and implementing compliance programmes, and providing guidance on legislative developments. Tobias represents governments, national and multinational corporations as well as associations in trade defence proceedings before the European Commission and EU courts. Prior to his legal career as private practitioner, he served as a consultant for the German Agency for International Cooperation (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit ‒ GIZ).
“By bringing Tobias on board, we are addressing the rapidly growing demand for our advisory practice driven by rising protectionism, the growing use of economic and financial sanctions, and the ever-increasing complexities of the global trade landscape,” says Bärbel Sachs, partner at the Berlin office and head of the International Trade & Investment Controls practice group.
Noerr is one of Europe’s leading law firms in international trade and advises clients with seamless multi-disciplinary teams across regions. The Brussels office serves as a hub for EU regulatory matters. “I am delighted that we have found Tobias to further advancing our growth trajectory by adding another NextGen expert,” says Jens Peter Schmidt, managing partner of Noerr’s Brussels office.
