Noerr to focus on cooperation in Central and Eastern Europe in future
Noerr is to take a new direction in its business in the markets of Central and Eastern Europe in future. It has entered into an agreement with Kinstellar, a renowned and leading law firm in the region, to transfer its offices in Bratislava, Budapest, Bucharest and Prague to Kinstellar. The transaction will be finalised in the coming months after all necessary regulatory and other approvals are obtained. In future, Noerr and Kinstellar will collaborate on the basis of a non-exclusive friendly cooperation arrangement in these jurisdictions following the closing of the transaction.
“As part of our regular review of the firm’s positioning, we have concluded that forming a strategic partnership in the Central and Eastern European markets is the best approach for enhancing the quality of our advisory services moving forward”, explains co-managing partner Alexander Ritvay, before adding “We have been pursuing a strategy of qualitative growth for many years. While this strategy is working very well in Germany, we have to recognise that the CEE markets have not developed in a comparable way.”
The agreement with Kinstellar opens up new development opportunities for these offices with a law firm specialising in the Central and Eastern European market. All of Noerr’s staff will be offered the opportunity to work for Kinstellar in future. “We can therefore continue to guarantee our clients the highest standards of service and quality, ensuring seamless continuation of client work”, says co-managing partner Torsten Fett.
Noerr is one of the leading independent law firms in Europe with six offices in Germany and offices in Alicante, Brussels, London and New York. The firm has grown at an above-average rate in recent years, while focusing on the qualitative development of its advisory services.
