Noerr advises Schaltbau Holding AG on refinancing syndicated credit facilities agreement including an ESG component

09.08.2021

Under the joint lead of Alexander Schilling and Nikolai Warneke, Noerr has advised Schaltbau Holding AG on refinancing its syndicated credit facilities agreement.

The new syndicated credit facilities agreement comprises revolving credit lines in an amount of €150m with a term of three years and an extension option of up to two years on significantly improved terms and without any major restrictions on the use of funds. This is the first time that Schaltbau has concluded a credit agreement that includes an ESG link. Based on the annual Ecovadis sustainability rating, Schaltbau Holding AG can reduce borrowing costs by achieving defined ESG targets.

“In legal terms, this matter was particularly interesting because we were once again able to demonstrate our expertise in advising on sustainable financing for listed companies” said Alexander Schilling.
