Technology & Innovation: Cooperation, licensing and technology transfer in Brazil, Germany and Russia
Technology and innovation rank at the top of Brazil’s policy agenda nowadays. At the same time, Germany enjoys an international reputation as an innovation leader and manufacturer of hightech products. Not by chance, most Brazilian companies operating in Germany focus in technology intensive industries such as software, electronics and automotive.
President Dilma Rousseff and Russian Prime Minister Medvedev recently announced a technology transfer agreement between Brazil and Russia in the energy and defence sector. As Brazilian commercial relations with Germany and Russia are expected to be deepened and expanded to areas such as space research, nanotechnology, engineering and science communication in the near future, transfer of technology agreements arise as important catalysts for cross border technology dissemination and protection.
