Torsten Fett and Alexander Ritvay to head Noerr for another three years

23.02.2024

Torsten Fett and Alexander Ritvay are to continue their successful work as managing partners of Noerr for another three years. During regular elections, the firm’s partners once again voted to extend the two managing partners’ terms of office.

Torsten Fett and Alexander Ritvay have been joint heads of the firm since 2019. Alexander Ritvay has held the position of managing partner since 2013. The firm has seen substantial growth during their term of office: turnover on the German market has increased by around 82 per cent since 2013 and by 18 per cent since 2020 up to and including the 2022 business year, reaching €298.6 million. The key to the firm’s success is the continuous and sustainable way in which it has developed the qualitative growth of its advisory business. Over the past few years, Noerr has been able to expand above all its corporate and private equity practices and M&A business due to a targeted investment policy.

Torsten Fett is co-head of the firm’s Compliance & Internal Investigations practice. He advises management and supervisory boards on corporate, capital markets and financial regulatory matters. He regularly assists banks, financial services providers and companies during internal investigations and provides them with preventive advice in connection with the implementation and enhancement of compliance management systems. Fett has been working at Noerr since 2001 and was promoted to partnership in 2008.

Alexander Ritvay joined the firm in 1995 and became a partner in 2000. He advises on complex transactions and cross-border projects and is regarded by legal publishers as one of the leading M&A advisors in Europe. During his career, Ritvay has also held various roles as a managing director and board member at big-name companies on the client side, both in Germany and abroad. He has been a spokesperson for the forum for commercial law firms (Forum für Wirtschaftskanzleien) at the German Bar Association (DAV) since its inception.

Torsten Fett and Alexander Ritvay will commence their new terms of office on 1 January 2025.
