18.01.2022

A Noerr team led by partner Alexander Jänecke has advised MEAG, the asset management company of Munich Re and ERGO, on the acquisition of a retail centre in Kranenburg in the district of Kleve, North Rhine-Westphalia.

MEAG acquired the Weide Park retail centre for the MEAG German Super Stores special real estate fund.

The retail centre, which focuses on sustainability and consists of three retailers, is located close to the Dutch border and was completed in November 2021. Drugstore chain Müller and discount supermarket Penny were joined on 13 January 2022 by the supermarket chain Rewe, the third and largest tenant. Rewe, which supplies a full range of goods, occupies around half of the 6,000m2 of retail space in Weide Park. The centre also has around 180 parking spaces on the 14,900m2 site.
