Noerr advises KPS Capital Partners on acquisition of Norsk Hydro's rolling business

05.03.2021

Led by our partners Tibor Fedke (Berlin) and Benedikt Vogt (Düsseldorf), our firm has advised the US holding company KPS Capital Partners on acquiring the rolling business of Norwegian aluminium producer Norsk Hydro ASA. The purchase price is €1.38 billion.

The transaction involves seven factories, a research and development centre, worldwide sales offices and around 5,000 employees, 650 of whom are in Norway and most of the others in Germany.

The sale is subject to the usual approvals by competition authorities and is expected to be closed in the second half of 2021.

“We are happy that we have once again been able to support our long-standing client KPS in a legally challenging transaction with a team of experts with various legal specialisations,” says Tibor Fedke.
