Noerr advises Jimdo on exit of Spectrum Equity and Global Founders Capital
A Noerr team led by Frankfurt partners Laurenz Tholen and Michael Schuhmacher advised Jimdo on the repurchase of all shares from investors Spectrum Equity and Global Founders Capital. The advice included both the complex repurchase and the financing of the transaction.
Jimdo is a leading global software-as-a-service company that offers comprehensive website solutions to freelancers and small businesses. In 2022, Jimdo was recognized as one of the five most innovative German internet companies by Statista and Capital.
US investor Spectrum Equity invested in Jimdo – at that point in time advised by a Noerr team led by corporate partner Christian Pleister – nine years ago. Global Founders Capital had been invested for 17 years. As a result of the transaction, the three founders Fridtjof Detzner, Matthias Henze and Christian Springub are now the sole shareholders and Jimdo is once again 100 percent in the hands of its founders.
