Noerr advises Flughafengesellschaft Berlin Brandenburg on sale of 63-hectare plot to SEGRO
Noerr has advised the airport operator Flughafengesellschaft Berlin Brandenburg (FBB) on the sale of its last space in Business Park Berlin. British real estate company SEGRO acquired a total of 63 hectares of land through a bidding process structured by Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL). According to JLL, this is one of the largest real estate transactions in Germany in 2021.
SEGRO, one of Europe’s most renowned project developers for industrial estates and logistics properties, previously acquired 38 hectares of land in Business Park Berlin from the airport operator in 2008 and developed it sustainably. The commercial units are currently occupied by around 70 tenants from the distribution, retail, service and light industrial sectors. SEGRO will continue its successful concept at this location in the coming years and will use its new acquisition to further develop the site.
Business Park Berlin was developed in cooperation with the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpernick and is one of Berlin’s largest contiguous industrial estates. It is conveniently located near Berlin-Brandenburg Airport.
