Noerr advises Bregal Unternehmerkapital on acquisition of majority stake in Theobald Software

With a team led by our partner Georg Schneider and Laurenz Tholen, Noerr has advised funds managed by Bregal Unternehmenkapital on the acquisition of a majority stake in Theobald Software GmbH.

By acquiring Stuttgart-headquartered software specialist Theobald Software GmbH, Munich-based Bregal Unternehmerkapital is expanding its portfolio in the fast-growing European market for enterprise software. The aim of the partnership with Theobald Software GmbH will be to drive the company’s growth in further target markets, to intensify investments in research and development and to further expand its technology leadership in the area of SAP interfaces. The founder, Patrick Theobald, will remain involved in the company as part of the new partnership.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2022.
