Noerr advises Bauer Media Group on the sale of its Russian publishing business
Noerr has advised Bauer Media Group (Heinrich Bauer Verlag KG) on the sale of its interests in Russian publishing companies to the current Russian management. The portfolio sold comprises interests in five Russian entities and around 90 magazines.
Bauer Media Group, headquartered in Hamburg, is Europe's largest magazine publisher and one of the leading media companies worldwide with around 11,500 employees. Noerr has regularly advised the media group on M&A transactions in Germany and abroad under the leadership of Volker Land, in this year already on transactions such as the acquisition of Mediengruppe Mitteldeutsche Zeitung and, in cooperation with a Noerr team from Warsaw led by Jakub Lerner, the sale of the Polish Interia Group.
