Client Choice Awards 2017: Noerr partners receive awards in the categories “Intellectual Property – Trademarks” and “Public Law”

Two Noerr partners received awards at the Client Choice Awards 2017 hosted by the International Law Office (ILO) in London: Sandra Redeker in the category “Intellectual Property – Trademarks” and Christian Mayer in the category “Public Law”. The Client Choice Awards, which are held by ILO on an annual basis, are among the most prestigious honours for lawyers. ILO questions the heads of legal departments worldwide, who are selected on the basis of statistical criteria without consulting law firms, before determining the results. This year’s winners were selected from 2,000 nominees.

Sandra Sophia Redeker (Intellectual Property & Media, Berlin) specialises in strategic advice and litigation in the fields of intellectual property and competition law. This particularly covers litigation and out-of-court negotiations, border seizure proceedings, setting up and defending trademark and design portfolios and advising on the development of marketing campaigns and merchandising strategies.

Christian Alexander Mayer (Energy, Munich) advises national and international companies and the public sector on regulatory matters in the fields of energy and the environment as well as media and gambling. His recent instructions included advice to ZDF in several contentious administrative proceedings with a cable network operator regarding the payment of feed-in tariffs, gambling law advice to GVC Holdings Plc. during the takeover of Bwin.party digital entertainment Plc. and advice to Wissensschaftsstadt Darmstadt on the development of the Lincoln housing estate into a model residential neighbourhood with reduced cars and traffic. He also lectures on environmental law and regulation at the University of Stuttgart and a is member of the supervisory board of Green City Energy AG.
