Noerr advises ABO Wind AG on placement of a green bond
Noerr has advised ABO Wind AG on the successful placement of a green bond worth €65 million.
The offer consisted of a public offering in Luxembourg and Germany via the subscription functionality DirectPlace at the Deutsche Börse stock exchange, a public offering by ABO Wind in Germany, Luxembourg and Austria, and a private placement in Germany and other selected countries.
The bond, which has an interest rate of 7.75% and a term of five years, will be traded on the Quotation Board segment (Open Market) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The net proceeds from the bond issue will be used to finance current and future renewable energy and storage projects. In line with the established framework for green bonds, the funds will be invested in the development and construction of wind and solar farms and battery storage facilities (individually and in combination).
