Noerr is among the most attractive employers for young lawyers in Germany. The firm has moved up to fourth place in the “azur100” rankings of German legal publisher JUVE. The rankings reflect responses to surveys carried out by azur’s editorial team among applicants and associates and rankings regarding new hires and salaries.

azur reports that Noerr’s associates are impressed by the firm’s international nature as well as the attractive salary package, promotion of equal opportunities and remodelled training programme. In the survey, associates praise the “outstanding team spirit across all levels of seniority” and likewise the “highly supportive environment”.

“Our top ranking proves that we are offering our up-and-coming stars, whether lawyers, tax consultants or auditors – an attractive environment where they can move their career forward,” said Christine Volohonsky, co-HR partner at Noerr. “We are continuously modernising and constantly improving offerings such as our career programme. We recently introduced our Family Track scheme, which represents a significant milestone on the path towards reconciling work and family life. This clearly sets us apart from our competitors on the legal market. We have also introduced a new mentoring programme for female lawyers,” highlighted co-HR partner Tibor Fedke.

Family Track aims to make having a career and a family more compatible. Under the scheme, advisors continue to receive 50% of their salary for six months while on parental leave and during a phased return to work initially on a subsidised part-time basis for up to six months, without billing pressure and with the unlimited option to work from home. Noerr has also added a new component to its “Her” initiative – the “Her Success” mentoring programme. This programme is for female associated partners and senior associates and aims to further promote female lawyers’ success and improve their perspectives. This is in addition to a well-thought-out training programme consisting of more than 500 hours of individually tailored training opportunities across all career levels and the possibility to forge new contacts by taking part in foreign secondments, for example.
